I've posted some threads in here before showing full progress of my weight loss and since November I've been pretty much on maintenance. Two of the previous threads are here and here.
I'm now at an all time low having lost a fraction under 167lb which is a touch under 12 stone lost, or a tad under 76kg for those who work in different weights.
No progress pictures in this thread, just the before and after ones. If you want to see the progress shots, take a look at the threads I've linked.
Here I was back in July 2013 when I weighed 328lb.
And here I was yesterday in a new shirt and new pair of jeans (501s with a 30" waist) weighing in at 161lb. I've lost over half my original bodyweight.
This has been done by the simple method of calories in vs calories out. I walk a minimum of 5 miles/day which I track with a FitBit and I eat less than 2,000 calories. No fad diets, no restricting what I eat at certain times of the day, I don't care about macro breakdowns, it's just basic calorie counting and portion control.

I am just starting my journey. It feels daunting when you have such a lot to lose and I can't really think that far ahead; one day at a time.however seeing that you have achieved what I am setting out to do is encouraging. It makes it real and answers the doubts I have about whether or not I can do it. Well done, and thanks for the inspiration!0

Wow!!!! Amazing! You look incredible. Congratulations on your brilliant achievement. I currently weigh 170lbs (12st 2lbs) so you've basically lost me (minus 3lbs)!
I've lost 11lbs so far and have 30lbs more to go. It seems like a lot to me but when I read stories like yours, it puts it into perspective.
You look very toned. Did you have any problems with excess skin? It doesn't look like it from your photo. I know it's a very personal question, so if you prefer not to discuss it then I totally get that. It's just that I'm paranoid about ending up with excess skin even though I don't have a huge amount of weight to lose and I exercise a lot.
Anyway, I'm sure you will inspire lots of people so thanks for sharing your story.0 -
Wow. Just inspiring. My hat is off to you.0

I like the 'KISS' philosophy (keep it simple, stupid)... I don't know much about macros, either, and just believe in move more, eat less, and all foods in moderation and within my calories. Greatly inspiring to those of us who maybe think 'I'll never get there.'0
