If you have a costco membership, go get their NB Heart Rate Monitor, $39.99! That will help you know exact!0

Depends on what type of yoga you are doing? I practice yoga every day, 7 days a week...but I also do cardio several times throughout the week. Anything from Zumba to kickboxing classes, etc. You can expect to burn anywhere from 100 calories to 400 calories approx in a yoga class depending on whether you are doing restorative or bikram. Just depends!0

Oh, but to add... yoga would not count as a cardio. You just simply don't get your heart rate up. The goal is to slow down your heart rate with your breath while increasing strength and stability. But you can still log it by creating an exercise. I agree with the above poster about using a hrm.0

If you want to take off-days from cardio, try strength training on days that you do yoga as well.0

I found yoga under cardio when I was entering my exercises. Didn't expect to see it there, but that's how I stared recording it. Also, I got a bodybugg, I use it when I do anything I want to record as exercise: yard work, yoga, gym exercises. That's been helping a lot!0

I would like to get one but have only heard of them being a few hundred dollars each and we just moved into a new house with a lot of repairs so all of our money is going to that0 -
I could get the heart rate monitor though.0

If you want to burn calories doing yoga, try P90X yoga. I'm not big on P90X, but the yoga session was insane. I was absolutely dripping sweat everywhere to the point where I was literally slipping on it. Not very restorative though, you feel like you got hit by a train after (and I normally lift lots of weights)...0

The bodybugg is awesome for counting calories for exercise. I bought mine some time ago and just started using it again. I don't know that I would out-right recommend it over everything else because it is so expensive plus the monthly fee. It does have a lot of great information though. Anyone considering one should definitely look at all the options first. I would go back and look over my options if I could. I got some money for my birthday and used that to help buy it so it wasn't so bad. The worst part is that it was sitting in a drawer for almost a year while I was paying almost $7/month.0
