I'm 5'8 with a BMI of 31. I was approved for Gastric Sleeve surgery with Dr. Ilan this January. I'm giving weight loss one more try before I commit to VSG. If I'm successful, I plan on using the money I have saved up on a full body liposcultured.
I gained 40lbs through my 5 year relationship. My short term goal is to fit into the size 31 jeans that I wore when my relationship started. My long term goal is to lose 54lbs and maintain a stable weight of 145lbs. When I was younger, and before my two children, I felt good in my skin when I was 145lbs; I wasn't too skinny. I looked sickly, gross skinny when I was 132lbs.

Hi there! I wish you success. I started out with 100 lbs to lose - also want to be around 145. I have lost 15 lbs so far. Feel free to add me as a friend if you like. There are some good threads to get you started here - MFP is easy and user friendly but there are some tips and tricks that will help.
These are some threads with great advice...you don't have to read the entire thread but usually the first page or two of replies may have some helpful comments. At least read the first post of each thread.
