    Successes/struggles this week:
1st March: In Feb lost 3.3kg (7.3 pounds) and started the whole 30 diet 5 days ago. Always struggle with over eating.

    Keep it up everyone!

I've mostly ate well this week turkey/ham sandwiches w/broccoli and carrots, yogurt etc. Then on sat (mar 7) i ate a fatty home cooked southern meal. Pig feet, pinto beans, collard greans, potato salad, and cornbread. UGH!!! This is where i gain most of the weight back.

Then my mom brought home a slice of chocolate pound cake, that was absolutely delicious. Kinda hate i ate it now, but i'll make up for this week.

birthday week so lots of cheats!! This is my first week dieting/trying to be active after a three month hiatus. So I think it's mostly water weight that just came off. Alcohol is such a weak spot for me. I only went to gym once. Goal for this week is to get to gym three times.

Struggles/successes this week: I'm still retaining water from my meds. I'm actually down about 4 lbs from my mid week weigh-in. I'll know how I'm doing for sure next weekend. This week, I struggled with my eating and sticking to my menu. Still, I was able to shave two minutes off my time in the 5k I ran on Saturday. I also went through some clothes I outgrew and put away a couple of years ago. I'm back in a size 18. When I started this journey, I was almost out of a 22 (really, I was a 24 in denial).

No real struggles or successes just keep eating at a deficit. I haven't been working out an occasional workout or exercise activity. I need to start something. Now that the weather & windchill are out of the negative & even sometimes above freezing, I hope to walk.

Oh that sucks! Next time, give me a call and let your family know I'll be having your share for you hehehee!!! Seriously though, don't stress. I went on a biz trip week before last, and when I weighed myself after I got back, I had put on *all* the 5lbs I had lost. But I just picked myself up, went right back to my pre-trip routine, drank a ton of water, and lost it all again within 4 days.

My guess...water retention since everything I ate had way more sodium than my home cooking for sure and theres no way on earth I ate an extra 18,000 calories to actually gain back 5lbs of fat. Im guessing the same is true for you.

You'll do fine... in the meantime, Im now dreaming about that chocolate pound cake hehe!

Successes/struggles this week: finding the best things to eat between problems with dairy and eggs, and keeping within my calorie plan. Also eating Chinese food one day did not help. Disappointed that I am still in this plateau.
My success was working out, making use of all this snow for snowshoeing three times, hard work!

Successes/struggles this week: I fluctuated quite a bit this week weight wise. I got down to -4lbs but I think that was just water weight. But I am happy with the -1.6 lbs. I should be able to meet my goal of -7 lbs at this rate. On to Week 2 of this journey! As another motivator to get healthy, my parents just moved to be closer to me. My mom just fell and broke her heel while trying to paint their new house. I need to be healthier to be able to move into this next stage of life which I think will involve being a care taker for my parents. I knew it was coming, just didn't know it would be so soon. They are living with us as they work on their new house. That time line just got moved dramatically.

Successes/struggles this week: I had a love hate relationship with my food and scale. when you start a journey like mine you would never think it would gain weight by eating and right and exercising. But it happened to me. I started my journey 2/16/15 and had lost weight but gained it plus some. after weighing in on 3/1 and seeing that I gained so much in one week . I decided to look to see what the deal was. I found out the hard way that if you are working out hard and not eating enough calories you will gain. I was eating around 1600-1800 on insanity days and gaining. Feel free to add me. need tons of motivation.
