Can yoga facilitate weight loss at all?

Try Ashtanga Yoga. It's supposed to be done in rapid succession, instead of Hatha Yoga which is more for just stretching, flexibility and general well-being. I believe you could also check out "Yoga X" from the P90X people.

Yes, yoga helps with weight loss, its strength and endurance training but not the kind you would think. try it out and you will see... you will have muscle soreness similar to the soreness the day after a good work out. I do 1 hour of Hatha yoga twice a week and my instructor always changes it up so there is no routine and we are always getting a different workout each time. Plus it helps reduce stress which is a huge factor in weight loss. Its hard to lose weight when you are stressed out.0
