Week to week weight loss isn't going to always be consisent

It's just not. While scale weight and body mass may reduce over time day to day and week to week, it may not be consistent. One could lose 2lbs one week and do the same exact regimen the next and gain a pound.
Things happen in life that can deter it too. Loss of a loved one, loss of a job, stress of a test, hardship with co workers, longer commutes, traveling for work, meeting a deadline, emotional let downs, aging, etc.
That doesn't mean failure, it just means that there will be obstacles and deterrences in your way.
You adjust, stay committed and stay consistent. It'll happen. Just not always the way you want it to.

Thanks for this reminder, I'm glad I'm not alone. Calories in, calories out seems like it is basic math and so this shouldn't happen, but I have been very frustrated with the scale lately.

My clothes are getting a little looser and I'm finding it easier to move around, etc., but the scale showed me down 3 pounds from 2/24 weigh-in to 2/26 weigh-in (I weigh every other day) and I haven't reached that "new low" on 2/26 since and have been anywhere from 1-3 pounds higher than the "new low"....even though my calorie counts show that I should be down.

I realize there was no way I was down 3 pounds in 2 days, so for now I'm just choosing to ignore the numbers and just keep at it....I'll win this stalemate and the scale will have to budge eventually

This is exactly why I weigh in every 15 days.
