Was doing well lost 9lbs, but just had two weeks completly off, fell big style. I get bored quick with same foods, please give me some inspiration

I did the exact same thing. Took me 3 weeks to get back on track. It's tough!! I've been trying to make/prep easy lunches and breakfasts that are low cal. And know what I'm eating for dinner. And I like to come on here a lot. It helps to see people going through all the same things.0

Prepping for the week ahead helps a lot. Plan ahead. And work in some more variety. Get creative0

I find that I have to plan what I will eat and basically log my food before I even eat it, so I can make sure I'm staying under my calories. Also, drinking water... so much water...0

"What's behind you doesn't matter." You only can control from today going forward. This past weekend I didn't eat what I should have been eating, but starting this morning, I'm back on track. They key is not to let a bad day or days turn into a downhill spiral. Now, if I can only practice what I preach...0

I like Eating Well website to get me out of ruts. There are tons of recipes and meal plans with various calorie levels and health concerns. Some supermarket sites also have healthy eating plans that are geared to their sales. You do not have to be bored eating the same thing over and over.0

Almost 1000 days in and at maintenance, I still pre-log my day when I get up in the morning. I am constantly on the lookout for new foods. Most significant of all, I batch cook and portion out servings into individual containers. I have kept temptation to a minimum by having a variety of yummy things to eat and deciding ahead of time what those things will be for the day. All that done, I focus on parts of my life not related to food and eating.0

I am the same, I have to change my diet frequently. I usually spend an hour on Saturday planning my meals for the upcoming week then food prep Sunday. I try to stick to clean eating and keep myself motivated by remembering my goals and why I started.0

The trick is to learn to eat normally but with the right sized portions. The foods you prepare for your family are going to be around for your lifetime. In order to keep your weight loss sustainable for that time, you need to learn to live with those foods and make them fit.
Try eating a smaller portion of calorie-dense foods for dinner (ie: pastas) and fill up on cooked veggies. This way, you'll keep to your calorie limit, eat the same foods as the family and learn about portion sizes. You'll also learn how to manage in restaurants, at parties, etc. by learning how to balance high-calorie foods with low-calorie foods.
Weigh everything. It's the only way to visually see what a portion is. Slowly, over time, you'll learn to eye-ball a portion but for now, weigh everything.
I second the suggestion of pre-logging. That gives you the chance to adapt your food before you eat it if you find it goes over your limit.
Don't look back; keep looking ahead. It takes time to change a lifestyle. You can do this.0 -

I failed big time about a year ago when I tried because none of the recipes had calorie counts on it and I was having to manually enter everything in. I am having a much easier time this go round using a cookbook that has the calorie counts built in. I need to plan my whole day the night before, but can adjust as needed throughout the day as long as I know what my dinner plan is. I love to cook, and eat, obviously, so variety is key for me. Good luck, you can do this!0

I bought myself a lovely new recipe book, and worked my way through it, adapting the ingredients to suit me and adding them using the recipe builder in MFP so I could get the right portion sizes for me. It really helped me to keep things interesting and also learn some new recipes as well as work on my weight loss.0

flat bread pizzas are so good, easy to make and the combinations are unending! Margherita, spicy bbq chicken and buffalo chicken are my favorites. Roasted vegetables in the oven are soooo delicious! Broccoli, cauliflower and Brussels sprouts are my favorite roasted veggies. I flavor some olive oil by warming it in a pan, adding a clove or 2 of smashed garlic and some crushed red pepper flakes until the oil is infused a bit. Then I toss the vegetables in the oil to coat (it doesn't take much oil) add salt and pepper and roast them. Talapia, chicken, shrimp, a small piece of steak are all very easy and quick to make! TACOS! I make vegetable tacos ( don't roll your eyes) They really are delicious and this is coming from someone who 6 months ago would have said a taco with no meat?? followed by a stream of bad words! I caramelize onions then add sliced bell peppers and a TON of mushrooms. Add the tacos seasoning packet mixed with a bit let water than the package says. Cook until the water evaporates and the veggies are cooked. i cook mine a while. i don't want them to be crunchy like in fajitas. I want them a softer texture. I spray corn tortillas with cooking spray and toss them in the oven until they are crunchy. Lettuce, tomato, salsa, hotsauce. I add a sprinkle of Parmesan cheese (i know its weird) and you wont even miss the meat or the shredded cheese You can also wrap in lettuce leaves to cut down on calories and carbs
