the best "diet" is the one you can stick to.
as you are experiencing it can be overwhelming with all the information out there and a lot of times conflicting and contradicting information!
just start with a calorie allotment that gives you a deficit, then try to eat the things you like that fit in the calorie plan. once you do that for a few weeks see what can you tweak? could you use more veggies? or whole grains? and just do it step by step. don't overwhelm yourself to start with all that info.0 -
i dont sweat the small things like oatmeal. i just eat oatmeal i like log it and move on. breads, i just eat a whole grain bread that i enjoy. log it and move on.
you can't sweat all this stuff you'll drive yourself mad! lol0 -
Do you have any medical conditions that would make you concerned about blood sugars?
A "right diet" for you would be one that does not drive you absolutely crazy while trying to follow it. Weight loss is burning more calories than you are consuming. It may take some preplanning to stay under your goal for the day.0 -
