Hi Everyone :-)
I came across a really awesome and simple strawberry balsamic dressing recipe and I wanted to share it....
1 cup strawberries, (6 large berries), rinsed and sliced
1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
3/4 teaspoon freshly ground pepper
1/2 teaspoon sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons almond oil or canola oil
26 calories and 2 grams of fat per tablespoon :-)
Put all ingredients in a blender and there you go! I think this would go great on salads or over white meat like chicken or pork...planning on making a chicken salad with it tonight!

It's equally Good without the Salt if you don't want the extra Sodium.0

That sounds good. I imagine you can substitute the sugar with Equal or something similar for someone who is diabetic.0

sounds delish, I would use either stevia or agave nectar instead of sugar, and nix the salt since balsalmic vinegar is flavorful enough for me. I never thought of blending a bit of fruit in a balsalmic dressing, great idea!0

You know I had a Pomegranate Vinaigrette that was to die for when out to eat recently. I may try your recipe and switch out the berries for Pomegranate.0

-I agree with the option to sub the white sugar...I think I may use a bit of honey instead. As far as the salt, I think I'll include it to compliment the sweetness--sweet/salty combos are the best!0 -
Sounds delicious!!!! Thanks!0

Sounds good but I think I'll use 1 packet of sweetener and EVOO instead, it's a healthier oil...... right?
Probably only 1/2 tbsp of oil as well and double the balsamic.
Thanks!0
