Do you go out much?

I used to be quite a party girl before having children, but these days I go out maybe 4 times a year, if that, and 2 of those are just out for a meal with my husband. Nor do I work as I still have a 3 year old at home. No prizes for guessing why I spend so much time on here! Thanks goodness for running! It keeps me sane.

Do you go out much, or are you more of a homebody?

Considering my husband and I haven't gone out on a date since our anniversary last July, I would say were homebodies. I would like to go out, it's just hard and a hassle to find a sitter.
We use to go out all the time and when I was single and still skinny, I used to go out to eat with girlfriends at least 2 or 3 times a week.

I do not go out much because I prefer exercising, doing outdoor activities, etc. I also go to bed early so I can work out early, etc. If I go out, it's kinda early and I do some dancing, but I don't do the drinking thing anymore (once or twice a year). Instead, I rather drink/cook with wine and/or beer at home, with friends.

Before having my son just over a year ago I went out a lot. I wouldn't say I was a party animal but I just liked to get out and do stuff. Now, I'm a SAHM and "going out" means a walk to the park or duck pond, LOL.

Exactly! Going out these days means going round to a friends house for tea.

Nope. Two kids and a husband who travels. I get together with friends during the day, but overall, I'm a homebody.

In the last 2 years, been more of a homebody (quit drinking a while back. Had a slight drinking problem; binge drinking on weekends before). But I used to every single weekend, until the last 2 years now.

But I have gone out about 10 times in the last year. I still like it, but I just don't drink anymore. Ginger ale or Cranberry juice with a splash of water are my favorite drinks now. An occasional O'Doul's (non-alcohol beer) is okay too.

Not as much as I'd like. My wife doesn't like to go out at all so I have to pick my spots.

Only motorsports events. Whenever I think of going out I think of how much more fun I'd have if I put that money in my gas tank.

Not anymore. I used to go out too often, then like never. Now I have balance. I get out occasionally but I am home enough.

We weren't going out much at all as we lost our regular baby sitter (they got too old to want to do it as they wanted to be out partying themselves) so we made a conscious decision to find a new one recently. Now we are going out once a month, still not enough but better than nothing that we had before.

My hubs and I used to live in NJ, down near Atlantic City, and we were the couple to visit. Almost every month we'd get a big crowd of us to go to the casinos and have a good time. We've since moved north to CT and try to get out but realized we reallllllly like sleeping!!! Hahaha! If we want to throw a few back, pants come off (and sweats on), pizza ordered, 30 pack in the fridge and pick up a bunch of DVDs and go to town. I have WAY more fun now with just him then I ever did in a large group.

The only times I go out are when hubby and I go out to dinner once or twice a year (take out is so much easier) and when I meet up with my besties every couple months. We don't do what we used to though! Besties weekends used to involve heavy drinking and dancing until our feet fell off. Now we meet for lunch, go shopping or go for a walk somewhere and that's about it.
Although, we've decided that the next time we do a besties weekend, we're going to go out dancing. It's been a couple years and I'm sure we'll feel old but it'll still be fun! However, I seem to remember the last time we planned on going out dancing and drinking all night that we ended up staying in the motel room watching TV and gossiping. LOL!

not much for me either. Weve moved a ton in the last few years and Im car-less so I dont have a very big social network here. When I get back home though with my besties - its ON. And I have grandmas for free babysitting

does going to the gym and home depot with my hubby count as a date?

besides those 2 places...we do try to do something together once or twice a week, sometimes 3 times (nothing fancy...mall or outlets and/or dinner)...BUT we do not have small children at home, so it is much easier for us!

as far as bars...we do have a favorite bar that we like to go people watch...that is about once a month or every other month...and we maybe order 1-2 drinks each while we relax and enjoy the atmosphere!

No, not really. Going out too much, and drinking too much, is what made me put on 15 lbs. in the last 4 years.

Nope. Do throw a lot of gatherings at the house though. BBQ's, Parties, Wine Tastings, Cigar Night, Themed Dinner Parties.

Not as much as I'd like to. I am 31 and feel like I should be doing more, I just don't know what. I am single with no children, but most of my friends are not single and have children, so it is hard to find people to go out with. I have one single childless friend left, but she travels a lot for her job. The married friends of mine have a problem with going out somewhere without their husbands and/or children, even if it's just for a meal. I wish it were different, but they are my friends so I have to respect their wishes. But many times I'd rather stay home than be the 3rd wheel.

I'm usually out at least three nights a week - consider myself a party girl at heart. But then I am single, no kids, my dog can only provide so much entertainment!

like going out but husband doesnt (gets very funny about me going out so dont do it too often). go out occasionaly for work do's or with friends probably 3/4 times a year. sitting at home with my kids playing games or reading (when i get the time!) is just as much fun!

When the kids were little we just went out as a family. But now my husband and I go out a lot - at least once a week; sometimes more. Usually dinner and dancing.
