What's Motivated Me to Keep on Walking

I’ve become an avid runner the past year. I’ve been running about 11-12 miles a week but I’ve been walking an average of about 14-15 miles a week. I was walking for exercise five months before I even started running and I still enjoy going for my walks.

What motivates me to keep putting the mileage up, walking?

Podcasts. I’ve been addicted to them, as much as the exercise. I prefer listing to comedy/talk podcasts and look forward to listening to the next one on each walk. (Side-note: Talk-show type podcasts aren’t the best for running. I still like listen to music while running to give me that extra push)

Below is a list of some of my favorite podcasts that I like and you might want to check out yourself. (Be warned these do have adult content/humor and not for the easily offended.)

Adam Carolla Show (5 episodes a week)
Nerdist (2 episodes a week)
Doug Loves Movies (1 episode a week)
The Film Vault (1 episode a week)
Sklarbro Country (1 episode a week)
How Did This Get Made? (1 episode every 2 weeks)

How about any of you? Do any of you have podcast you listen to and what are they?

I luv podcasts too! The more obscene the better.. Two of my favs are "The Black Guy Who Tips" and "Chonilla" . They are both husband and wife teams and they crack me up. I also like listenning to the movie reviews from the guys on "The Spin".

Just music thus far for my runs, but my wife and I have great discussions on our walks.
