I am type 1 for 11 years. Now in my mid 40th. Struggling to lose 10-12 lb. Generally athletic, healthy diet. Any ideas?

Type 1 diabetic? Over here...lot more to lose, been way out of control for a long time and it comes off slowly. How's your control? Sugar levels swinging about makes it hard...

Yup. And my weight spiraling out of control goes right along with my blood sugar levels being too high. Just getting started here--trying to cut way down on carbs since that seems to be a huge trigger to overeat like there's no tomorrow.

I have been type 1 since I was 10 years old...so 24 years now. I never had great control until I got a pump about a year and a half ago. Best decision I ever made. However, weight loss is slow, but possible. I have about 70-80 more lbs to go. It does seem to help to keep your sugar steady. I eat low-ish carbs, I workout 5 nights a week for anywhere between 1-1.5 hours. I've been at it since September and every day is a learning experience. I have already had to treat 2 low blood sugars today. You can add me if you'd like, I keep an open diary.
