Hi all! I'm Lauren (and I'm real, no gimmick I started a 90 Days to Summer Fitness Challenge using Jillian Michael's Banish Fat Boost Metabolism workout (Find it on YouTube here: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=FTT4W8ygJ7w ) I'm keeping my net calories around 1500 and doing this workout twice a day for 90 days which equals a 4 lb a week weight loss (48 lbs in 90 days) I have slacked for waay too long and it's time to get ready for Summer! So far I'm 5 days into it and I've lost 3 lbs. Who wants to lose with me? Let's keep eachother motivated!

This is an unsafe and unrealistic goal for a majority of people. You are just setting yourself up for failure or possible injury if you are really trying to stick to that rate of loss.0

Unless you are morbidly obese, you won't hit anything like those kind of losses consistently, sorry. Even morbidly obese people only lose huge amounts for the short term then slow down.0

Really? 4# a WEEK?
That's a deficit of 14,000 a week - 2,000 a day! How are you going to consistently run a 2,000 calorie a day deficit?! Your maintenance calories would have to be over 3,000 a day, even with exercise!
You have lost 3# in 5 days....mainly water weight (most people lose a good chunk of weight the first 1-2 weeks due to water weight - I myself, lost 5# the first 2 weeks). It WILL slow down to a healthy, sustainable, .5-2# a week loss...unless you do something crazy like drop your net calories to 500 each day.

I'm going to assume this is an advertisement. With that being said, hopefully no one buys into this and thinks it's safe to lose 4 pounds a week. That is, of course, unless one is morbidly obese and is following a nutrition plan set forth and supervised by a medical professional.0

Your math doesn't add up. 1500 calories net will not result in 4 lbs/week loss for you long term. Which honestly is a good thing. You would not want to actually lose 4 lbs per week-- that's a good way to lose a lot of muscle.0

I wanted to offer a brief explanation for the locking of this thread.
Although I realise that pre-workout a 1500 calorie intake is in the most part perfectly sustainable for most. Adding 2 x intense daily workouts definately takes daily gross calories far below safe daily consumption.
