Hey everyone!!! I am so excited to be a part of this community and I love how helpful and encouraging everyone is. Two weeks ago I decided for my 30th birthday my goal would be to lose 30lbs. I have struggled with my weight for my entire life, and have always been overweight. I was used to eating fast food daily and not really caring about what I put into my body. Now that I am getting older and have a very sedentary job I just kept gaining and gaining. Once i saw I was on the brink of 200lbs i decided it was time for change.

I have MUCH more to lose than 30 lbs (I am 5'1 and started at 199lbs) but I wanted an attainable goal that would be reasonable and would be losing it the right way, forever, as a permanent lifestyle change. Since Tuesday March 3rd I have lost about 7lbs, the first week it came off easily but this week has been pretty stagnant.. I have until July 16th to meet my 30lb goal.

I have made my food diary public and would love constructive criticism and opinions on what i can do to keep losing/lose faster etc..

I am staying under my 1200 calorie goal and my objective is to excericise at least 30 minutes a day (although I live in Oregon where it rains CONSTANTLY so there has been a few days where i didnt go for a walk/jog etc) I am trying to figure out some indoor activities to do since I don't have a gym membership yet. I am tracking my excercise using the Runtastic app which is very helpful.

I do intake alot more water than is on MFP tracker because im not great at writing it down... I average about 96 ounces of water and then green tea or hot tea (no sugar added) on top of that.

I am hoping to make new online buddies and find a support structure to help me through this process.

Thanks everyone!!! :)
Jessica

    Hi Jessica,
I'm not a frequent poster but just wanted to wish you luck! I started a 40 for my 40th on Wednesday. I have until mid-December so a full 40 weeks at 1lb per week. Here's to a great next decade!
    Good luck,
    Lindsay

Hi Jessica, one of my initial goals was to loose 45 lbs by my 45th birthday. My birthday is Nov 11th and I started last Oct and have already lost 42 lbs. I have much more to loose than that, but I have to tell you it really feels good to know I'm going to crush this goal way ahead of time! Good luck and safe journey! -Nancy

Please don't eat under your calorie goal!! 1200 is the base!
