My estimate calorie intake is lower than what I need to consume since I'm breastfeeding. Will I still lose weight if I'm eating a bit over?

If I remember correctly from my nutrition class your body should be burning more calories while you are breastfeeding. Takes a lot of energy to produce. If anything you shouldn't cut/starve yourself of calories at this time. I highly recommend asking your doctor, or a lactation consultant what would be a good reduction in calories if any at all.

Be careful cutting cals while breastfeeding. You don't want to lower your milk supply. When breastfeeding my children, my recommendations from my lactation consultant and midwife were wo eat an extra 300 cals a day
  • Thanks ladies! Yeah I've heard the same thing. Someone said I need to eat 1600-1800 a day and my goal for losing weight is 1520. So I've been trying to eat over that. It's so hard though bc I'm not hungry all day and most healthy stuff you have to eat a ton.
