I have about 70 lbs to lose, and I don't have the motivation to start dieting and working out. Yet at least I'm taking a step now by finding and participating in this new community. Can someone help with getting me on the right track?

Thanks :)

Hey .. nice job that u took this step, but in my opinion if u want to remain motivated u have to do that by yourself by turning off all the negative thoughts and ideas and replacing them with no matter how hard it is I can do it ... let me tell you something funny about me something when I feel less motivation, I go to Yoga class to see all the best body shapes ever and to say yes I want to be like that lool I started to love Yoga hahaha ..

Hello! I am also new here, well, starting again. I lost over 40 lbs in 2013 through healthy eating and exercise - then piled it all back on with holidays and just general gorging on rubbish food! I also lack motivation, after a long day at work all I want to do is sit on my bum on the sofa and watch tv...and eat!
I am definitely a boredom eater too. I have about 56 lbs to lose to reach my goal weight. I am willing to help spur you on if I can!

Forge the motivation part and just start dieting and working out. Time for dreaming is over, time for action is now!

Just start by getting your waters in, log your calories, and move. I did (10,000 steps) That's what I did when I peaked at 200. Now 168 and I'm here to learn to track better, plan meals and learn how to cook better for my family.

I am doing it in gradual steps. I figured out how I wanted to eat, then I started logging it, then I started to exercise, then I started weighing my food. By changing one thing at a time, I wasn't overwhelmed by the changes I was making. I would get comfortable with what I was doing then add the next step.
