My name is Ashley & I too am a cheese-aholic =\0
-
I've been able to cut down quite a bit, but still crave it almost always0
-
I LOVE cheese as well. I'm doing the Southbeach diet so as long as its low fat I can eat whatever I want. :bigsmile:0
-
Hi my name is Libby and I am also addicted to cheese and all things cheese, i think i could manage to put cheese on everything i eat (seriously with few exceptions) You are not alone its an addiction I am not ashamed to admit0
-
I know i was the same way, i use to get blocks of it and just eat it... What i did was slowly cut it out here and there, like off of my sub way sandwhich, and then off my salad... Dont get me wrong i still enjoy cheese but in moderation... Limiting is the best way to do and do it over time or you will just right back to eating it... Good luck...0

I'm Anne, and I'm a Cheese-Aholic. I loooooove cheese, especially swiss cheese. I try to cut down on it, but it's SO good! I can't drink milk, so I get a lot of my dairy through cheese and yogurt. :-S0
-
I'm a cheese addict too:) I can't/won't give it up so I have started using lower fat cheese, lower calorie cheese ect so it doesn't rack up my calories. I use the Kraft fat free cheese at least once a day, lol.0

I love cheese and been able to be successful while still eating it almost everyday. I found fat free cheese slices in both cheddar and swiss that I use on my sandwiches. I also use the Kraft fat free shredded cheese in a lot of recipes. After my workouts I will eat reduced fat string cheese. I just had to find some alternates because I can not give up cheese.0

Cheese is the best.....my old MFP profile pic even showed me wearing a cheese head in a self-designed Halloween costume called "Velveeta - the Goddess of Cheese." No lie.0
-
I Cheese and i'm not sorry!0

I never met a dairy product I didn't like.
I still have a lot of dairy in my diet and I honestly don't think it's a problem at all. I get reduced fat cheese, skim milk and fat free yogurt and it all fits into my plan. Fat free cheese doesn't have any flavor to it, so I avoid it.0 -
I LOVE CHEESE! I AM A CHEESE-AHOLIC. but let me tell you. i got my tongue pierced and i couldnt have dairy for two weeks. within the first week and a half, i dropped 11 lbs. THATS HOW MUCH I EAT CHEESE! i eat cheese like people eat chips. or, with a block of cheese i'll eat it like an apple.
O.o0 -
i am also a cheese-aholic! there is no way i could ever cut cheese out of my diet. everything in moderation!0

Ok I don't belong here in this thread but couldn’t resist EWWWWWWWWWWWW CHEESE IS GROSS! It's like.... not even food, some sort of congealed gooieness.
Ah well, it’s better to hate cheese than vegetables right.
Enjoy your solidified bacteria!*
*Ok that was mean, I'm just joshing with ya'll k?0 -
I am a cheese addict from California. My fiance is a cheese addict - originally from Wisconsin. This is an uphill battle for us.
There is so much fat in cheese - and the calories add up quicker than it fills me up, unfortunately. Although incredibly hard, I am trying to limit my cheese to low moisture/part skim mozzarella. It's not the same as sharp cheddar or Monterey Jack, but it's still cheese.0 -
I love cheese and refusing to buy anything artificially fat free/light, with the exception of Laughing Cow. Hard parmesan is pretty low cal and great on pasta and goat cheese is naturally pretty light too and oh-so-yummy! Spinach, goat cheese, and fresh roasted beets. mmmmm. ok, now I want that.0
-
I live in Oregon, so I eat Tillamook cheese. They don't do but one type of low fat cheese, and it's only around 20 calories difference per serving! Not worth it to me. I do eat the laughing cow wedges... nom nom nom nom0
-
Cheese is one of the many things I eat plenty of - because you can only eat so much of it before feeling full. Same with meats, nuts, veggies. I was a serious milk dinker, but changed to unsweetened vanilla almond milk for less sugars and more calcium. I'm more afraid of breads and sugar than cheese! Maybe I'm just not a true addict. I dunno.0

My name is Nikki and I consider cheese it's own food group. This makes me a cheese addict. You had me at goat.... haha.
The diet I'm currently on has NO dairy in it, so I have not had cheese, yogurt, milk or anything diary since Saturday This is willpower. So cheers to all our fellow cheese lovers0 -
Mmmmmmcheese. I've definitely cut down, but the only type I will eat a low fat variety of is the sliced for sandwiches kind. :laugh:0
-
ill only eat fat free cheese ...... ok sometimes i have real chesse on salads but if i make my own its FF0

I looooove cheese and I am currently fighting the temptation to eat a bunch of babybel wheels right now... It's so high in sodium, I really have to watch how much cheese I get. I enjoy it still, in moderation, though I wish there was a LOT more of it in my food diary!
One thing I have been telling myself - I want to reach my goal more than I want to binge on cheese. I miss it - oh how I miss it - but I will survive :happy:0 -
I am also a cheese-junkie, but luckily I am training for a 1/2 marathon and on running days I tend to have lots of exercise calories and a lot of fats that I can eat, so I get to enjoy 3 ozs of cheese 4 times a week.
So I guess if you are really a cheese-a-holic, start training for a 1/2 marathon! :happy:0 -
when I saw the sodium content in cheese, it made me an instant recovered cheeasaholic. I am now addicted to keeping my sodium low. Lol.0

Hi My name is Stephanie and I am an Obsessive Cheese Compulsive Fanatic. I belong to the Venissemo Cheese Club in San Diego. I throw cheese parties and I have 1 drawer in my fridgerator dedicated to cheese.
I will not give up my cheese!!!!!!!
I have however, learned to build my diet around my love of cheese as it is a good source of calcium, protien and vitamin D and I need all of those things in my diet since I don't drink milk at all!
I started learning to love the leaner varieties of cheese and I do tend to buy the 2% cheeses and cook with those most of the time. I have converted my dear husband into a 2% cheese lover. But every now and then, I must go by the cheese store and get the really good stuff and make it my meal. I sacrifice the high calorie crackers for the very best cheeses.
I no longer grate cheddar cheese over my microwave popcorn, that is my true concession in my cheese war!0 -
I love cheese too.. my perfect dessert is a hunk of cold apple pie and a nice 3 ounce chunk of extra sharp cheddar cheese. Since pie is off the menu, I like to treat myself to some apples cooked in cinnamon and only ONE ounce of extra sharp cheddar.
I also use a low fat mozzarella. I buy it in a block and shred it very fine so I use less than when I buy the thick shred in a bag.
Cheese really does fill me up and satisfies my craving BUT I'm not loving all the saturated fat and sodium in it... so even if I wasn't watching the calories, I'd still take it easy on the cheese for health reasons.0 -
I'm from California and I love cheese, regular, not unleaded! :noway: I would give up alcohol before cheese....mmmm, wine and cheese.... ... I'm sorry, what was I saying?
Oh yes, I love cheese! I don't have a sweet tooth but rather a cheese tooth. ( I totally just made that up! )
"What a friend we have in cheeses....."0 -
Wow!!! Thanks for all the responses (well minus the cheese hater- but we r bound to have those too!) I would love for us to support eachother maybe once a week n share!! (recipes successes and whatever!) I am not ashamed but being a cheese addict although some of my relatives give me serious grief about it. I can't wait till I reach my goal weight and one of them will ask how I did it and I'll oh so casually say well I made sure to eat cheese every day! So if u want to have our ca meeting - let's pick a day that works for us all and a time !! I'm thinking Sundays at 8:30 pm est for half hour! We can start this week or next week! Xoxo See ya then0
