Hello Myfitnesspals . . . here I am again. The difference this time is I may join with Community. I am 66 years. I have had breast cancer, diabetes 2 (diet controlled now), colon polyps, hysterectomy, and two Total Knee Replacements. There is likely a hip replacement in my future due to my osteoarthritis. I am retired. I have been on many, many diets and I now plan to stick with the healthy portion control and exercise lifestyle route.

I prefer honesty. I don't need placaters or cheerleaders. I know what is the right thing to do. I often ignore those things and eat junk or overeat. I guess I could be called a binge eater because if I get a box or bag of chocolates or potato chips or ice cream, I can eat the whole darn thing without thinking. Sometimes I hide those things and eat them when my husband isn't looking because he has severe diabetes (the doctors debate about whether it is late onset diabetes 1 or it is diabetes 2 with a pancreas that has virtually quit functioning) and he also will eat sweets if I bring them into the house. So I suppose I could be classified as a foodaholic.

I would love to have friends who understand where I am because you are in a similar place. I would like to have resources for exercise taking into account that TKR's cause some limitations at least for me right now.
