Hi im a mum of two and currently doing slimfast/tesco meal replacement shakes. Been doing them since January and lost two stones. Was wondering if anyone else is doing the shakes and how you are getting on with them x

That's great progress.
A lot of people are less supportive of meal replacement diets because the don't teach you about portion control or making balanced meals yourself, so the chances of reverting to old habits are higher once you stop drinking them.0 -
Well done ! But I have to say I did slim fast for about 6 weeks and once u stop I and go back to eating normal I was having 1200 Cals a day u do put the. Weight back on unfortunately0

I've been there, several years ago. I lost a little weight after a week or so of doing them.
But, they ended up screwing up my gallbladder and I had to have surgery to remove it.
Plus, within a week of stopping I gained it all back.0 -

What are you planning on doing when you stop drinking these shakes?0 -
I have also done them years ago- just for breakfast sometimes. I think they are high in sugar and like people have said, don't teach you healthy eating. Sometimes they are not bad if you are in a real hurry in the morning or something, but I wouldn't recommend them as a weight loss tool for the long term just because when you stop you gain it back.0

I drink them in the mornings mostly because if I actually eat breakfast or too early I get sick. So instead of skipping meals I just do the shakes. No it doesn't teach you portion control, or how to eat better but they work for me. But then again I have to use almond milk with them because I can't do dairy either. So I only have one a day and limit my sugar.0

There are probably better ways to lose, but if that is what is working for you, then Kudos!0

I have some slimfast in my cabinet now! I might drink one once in a while, but I also know that two eggs and a piece of toast has the same calories, and I'd much rather have that. But good job on losing 2 stone! Slim fast allows you to navigate through your day without planning meals - but eventually you'll have to put some thought into it when you stop drinking the shakes. If this works for you, keep it up!0

I have a protein shake first thing in the morning about 150 cals. Two hours later I will have oatmeal and egg whites. Two to three hours later I will have lunch.0
