Ut kind of depends as well whats happening in the workout. Lifting I use different music than rowing or cardio or running. Rythm etc is important.

    Hearts on Fire. Jon Cafferty

This Is the son from the montage following Apollo's death.

LOVING this thread!!! A great playlist can make or break my run. My favorite is pour some sugar on me and living on a prayer. I have those 2X in my play list so they come on twice during a long run.

Fleetwood Mac isn't really 80's but it dawned on me during a run that most of their songs have the perfect rhythm to match my run.

Also when I first started running, I had this hilly 3 mile loop. I made it a goal to run the whole thing by Mother's Day starting in March. If I went one direction, I ended on a flat. If I went the other way, I ended with a big hill. The Saturday before Mother's Day, I went the big hill way and was actually running the whole thing. I came to the hill and told myself, don't let it stop you. I swear to God I had the "Eye of the Tiger" song in my head the whole way up that hill and I totally did the Rocky arms up, jumping around when I reached the top. I know these are two different movies...but Eye of the Tiger is way more motivating than "Gonna Fly Now"--or whatever that song is.

Technically released in 1978 according to the Google machine; one of my favorite songs to run to is Fat Bottomed Girls by Queen.
