besides running the track & sprinting the bleachers, what other things do you do when you take your workout outside to the local HS football field?

I do different leg workouts to lean out your muscels. You can do it as a warmup before running the track. Things such as lunges, toe kicks, weed pickers, karaoke and butt kicks down the field. You can use the field itself and each yard line as markers, every yard line you can switch the leg exercise.

I usually do some bodyweight exercises either before or after my 3 - 5 miles of speed walking intervals on the track. It varies depending on how my body is feeling, how busy the area is and how much time I have.

Sometimes I would jump on the goal post and do pull ups. Or jump up, hang there and pull my knees up to work my lower abs. I would move side to side to hit my obliques.

On the flat, smooth parking lot I like doing burpees, walking lunges, lunge jumps, butt kicks or side shuffle runs.

On the bleachers I do tricep dips with one of my legs sticking out. Push ups are also good.

    Good luck!

I use a couple various HIIT apps to setup a good workout while on the track. Apps like Sworkit, 7M Workout, Spitfire, Nike Training etc. And just intersperse it with some cardio sprints or some bleacher stairs to balance the bodyweight training with the cardio bursts.
