As much or as little as you please. Cardio is good for the heart, but isn't the key to weight loss-though it can help pad your deficit or allow you to eat more. Strength training helps maintain muscle mass while you're losing fat in a deficit. If you're doing zero exercise, just add a couple days a week and see how you feel. You can always add more.

2 lbs a month is a good rate for healthy, sustainable loss. How much you work out is a personal thing and depends on your goals. I go to the gym 3-4x per week for strength training/weightlifting sessions and to yoga 1-2x per week, depending how much time I have to fit it in. Beyond that I walk the dog or walk on the treadmill, but don't count those as "workouts"...just a little extra activity in my day
  • Normally I walk 3 miles a week and. 90 minutes curves a week and about 90 minutes of curves an it's not all about weight loss for me I need toned up and. Inches dropped!
