Garlic in almost everything, Katrina. (I'm Italian.)

After we moved to the semi-rural Kansas City area, I was buying garlic at the store one day, when an old woman tapped my arm and told me she had never eaten garlic in her life. She asked me what it was like. Can you EVEN??? She was so sweet. I said, "Well then, I wonder if you've ever had a good meal in your life!"

GRILLED (or oven roasted) with olive oil, salt, pepper. Simple, easy, and insanely delicious!!!

Asparagus isn't cheap here. It's still $3.99-$4.99/lb depending on the week.

I still buy it though because it is one of the few veggies I can eat (I have Crohn's disease).

I like it steamed or roasted with olive oil and garlic.

Yeah, it's crazy expensive, but it's a seasonal thing, so that's what happens. I think it's $2.99 here now because it's springtime. In a month, it will be back up to $5-6 a pound and I won't buy any vegetable at that price, just like I won't pay $5 for a half pint of blueberries right now. Yikes!
