I've never dieted before and never understood how hard it is. I recently sustained an injury that left me unable to walk for 8 weeks....which meant HELLO Take out! I put on 35 pounds by eating what was available from local delivery since I live alone it was my only option. Now that I'm on a diet, I HATE it. I also can't seem to get to the protein level on what I'm supposed to be consuming in a day. How do you hit your fat goals and your protein goals? I'm stumped. Anyone with any good ideas on high protein foods that are low in fat???

Meat. Chicken, fish, steak, whatever. One of my meals, every day (even if it's just 3-4 oz) is just chicken breast & cheese (I know you want to avoid fat, but it's ok to have some!).

Don't get discouraged! Your 'diet' is just what you make of it! You can enjoy treats as long as they are in moderation.

Use lean meats when you are cooking and that should help with low fat protiens. Also, when just beginning, try just hitting your calorie deficit goal for the day. The macros can work themselves out later. Sometimes just getting into the habit of meeting that calorie goal can be daunting enough.
