Why did you start the Insanity program if you were enjoying going to the gym and jogging?
Insanity is really just all cardio though and it doesn't have a whole lot of upper body work other than push-ups.
The way I see it you have three options:
You can follow the Insanity schedule and add some weight lifting at the gym a few days a week, you can substitute a gym workout for an insanity workout a couple times a week, or you can add gym workouts in between and just extend the Insanity schedule.0 -
That's a good question .... Your right I did it to shake things up so will carry on as its week two but have a couple of gym sessions too0

I just started doing Insanity again on Sunday. I was lifting weights at the gym 3 days a week but decided to cut to 2 days a week while doing Insanity again. I completed Insanity Max 30 a few weeks ago and still went to the gym 3 days a week. I think that might have been a bit too much as it was tough on the days that I did both things. I think if you are doing other things along with Insanity it could work. But as someone else said above you could just extend the Insanity schedule like I'm going to do so you can fit those other things that you like to do in with it.0
