I have lower back pain. I was told that walking is good for your back. What about the elliptical? Is it as good as walking?

I love the elliptical. I think it's easier on your back. Also, you burn more calories than walking.

yoga is crazy good at miracles I have had knee surgery and have chronic back pain yoga takes my pain away. Do activities that you dont have to bend your back to do (aside from the yoga) like stair master keep good form and you can do it. just no rowing machines burpees or anything like that

I have walked on a treadmill for years and years...last dec 2014 my daughter introduced me to the eliptical machine...now i do one half hour of eliptical and one half hour of the treadmill 5 times weekly.

The eliptical machine is so smooth....easy on the body just remember to stand up straight and watch your posture its easy to lean forward and that would hurt the lower back further.

    Enjoy!
