I finally feel skinny

I can honestly say I feel skinny for the first time in a long time. When I look in the mirror now I dont see fat Kelley anymore compared to a month ago when I saw the fat me everyday. Something finally shifted in the difference of 3 lbs.
For a long time I was hovering at 143-145lbs. I was stuck there for almost 4 months. Then all of the sudden I started losing weight again without doing anything different. I am currently 140lbs. The difference of those few lbs lost changed everything. I was stuck in between sizes---size 6 was too big, size 4 was too small.
I started MFP at 180lbs and a size 10/12 at 5'4. Being stuck in between sizes means clothes still dont look right on you because they simply dont fit right. When you are over weight and cant stand looking at yourself ( i felt like the thing that swallowed Kelley every time I saw my own face) it's hard to really see the transformation when something that seems as trivial as clothes are getting in your way.
Everyone tells me how skinny I am, how tiny I am, how good I look, etc... Part of me believed them because I did see a big change in myself when looking at pictures then and now but I still didnt see it when I looked in the mirror. Now I do. My head and eyes have finally caught up with reality. All because 2-3 lbs means I am not stuck in between sizes any more. Clothes fit, I feel neat and put together, pretty, and thin all without other people having to tell me.
I only have 2 more lbs to reach my goal of 138. Those last 2 lbs really do make a difference when it comes to how my pants fit. I will fit comfortably in a size 4. Im looking forward to saying I finished this weightloss journey simply by eating right. No tricks, gimmicks, quick schemes etc.. I am also looking forward to stop spending money on new clothes. There is that stereotype that women love to shop. Well I have always hated it. And dropping 3-4 sizes really strained my finances so I'm excited to stop spending money. I had to buy a complete new wardrobe 2 times because I lost the weight slowly. Summer clothes, winter clothes, coats, socks, even shoes ( my feet got smaller), underwear, etc... The only thing I never bought were new pajamas. I figured it was one way I could avoid spending more money but I feel like a total slob around my house and in front of my BF wearing pj's and lounge wear from when I was 40lbs heavier. The end of this journey will be new pajamas :blushing:

This is me exactly!! ( I just did a search to see if others felt this way and found this old post). I'm also 5'4", started at 189, have been hovering around 143-145 and now am at 141 and told my husband I suddenly feel different. I feel lighter, feel like I look lighter. My goal weight is 135 then I'll reassess. I'm feeling really encouraged though! Have you been able to maintain your weight loss?0
