Anybody eating a special dish?

We do corned beef, cabbage and taters...I know, not very original, LOL. And as I understand things, that's not a traditional Irish dish at all (it's associated with the Irish in America specifically) but I love my traditions.

The leprechaun visited my kids and brought them chocolate coins, green drinking straws and a giant green pen each. :)

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

I put the corned beef in the crockpot this morning. I can't wait to get home and eat that. I love corned beef, but this is basically the only time in the year we eat it fresh (I buy canned corned beef for labskaus other times during the year). I will be steaming potatoes and cabbage to go with it. We'll probably be eating it for two or three days.

Not a huge corned beef fan, so I think we're going to do bangers & mash (sausage and mashed potatoes) w/ roasted brussels sprouts.

I didn't do anything special but my husband brought home Guinness. I just found out it has less calories than icky Budweiser :) I had no idea dark beer has less calories. I can't make the calories fit today but oh well, I love dark beer! I'm so happy tonight! Happy St. Patrick's Day everyone!
