Time for a Change

Im 19 years old and work and go to school. I've never been thin or fit and in high school I was always the girl who'd show up late to class with a delicious burrito. Between work and school it's hard to prep meals for the week and that leads me binging, you know the all of a sudden "HOLY *kitten* I NEED TO EAT NOW OR I AM GOING TO DIE" hunger. I also am an emotional eater, happy, sad, angry, confused, lonely. I eat. I guess I'm just looking for people in the same boat as me and looking to make healthier choices. I'm 5'5" and currently 184.5 lbs I've tried to "accept" my fat and believe the whole fat is fabulous thing but that's a load of crap and it's time for me to get in shape to be healthier, be happier, and have the body I want.

You can do it! I've been using the app since January 1st, I'm 5'6" and started at 202, I'm now down to 180! My goal is 140. Hope to be there soon.

I am really weird about exercising because I hate to sweat infront of people so I've tried gym memberships but those didn't work out. I work at petsmart for doggy day camp so I spend hours walking around and on my feet so that's some exercise. For the last month I've been trying to eat better so if I absolutely have to get fast food I get real MEXICAN food or like in n out just a burger protein style. I started doing those yoga videos on YouTube and so for Im liking it a lot. Are any of you having trouble doctumenting your food? I've been making almost all my food at home and not eating processed foods/processed foods but it sucks because I don't know the exact amount of calories.

I feel like we are the same person.

Seriously though, I am 26. 5'5" 175 lbs... now.. (Down 30 before I started calorie counting this week) I have also never been thin, am an emotional eater, I know that "I need to eat now or I am going to die hunger sooo well... 3 months ago, I thought it was perfectly acceptable to eat an entire frozen pizza WITH ranch LOL. I legit gained 30 pounds in like 4 or 5 months-depression. My reality check was when I couldn't button a pair of jeans I purchased the prior month.

I am now on what I like to call a "Pizza Cleanse". Nooo pizza for me... At all.. I won't stop at one slice. Luckily, I LOVE all the healthy weird food that's out there... I just don't discriminate. I love ALL food.

Still getting the hang of this thang.

I'm a pizza lover as well:( which is fine accept when I eat a whole one by myself:/ have you tried the cauliflower pizza thing? You grate cauliflower and mix in a little seasoning and a little mozzarella then add an egg and mix it all up and like press it into a circle on a pan and add sauce and cheese and whatever else and bake it. It's actually really good

I haven't tried that yet, but I HAVE made mashed cauliflower. Me and my old man actually prefer it over the real deal. I am just on the lazy side... haha!
  • Mmmm that sounds really good

You can definitely do it. Its hard but possible and will only get easier with time. Start off slow changing small things. I just sorta started my own journey and trying to really get down to business now after a horrible 2014. No more excuses.

I know that hunger feeling that you get when you think your gonna die, I do 3 medium sized meals and 3-4 small ones with a cal count under 1700, keeps me full and on track obviously it's different for everyone, just might work for you. Remember the first week is hardest and it's about retraining yourself!
