Barcode vs. Search

Okay, so I'm going crazy with this site! :laugh:

I just discovered scanning barcodes for my food entries! LOVE IT!!

Now, can wew please get a barcode lookup for the website. I can't scan from my laptop/PC and that would be a real time saver!

    How do you scan your barcodes for MFP? I didn't know you could do that!

    I know you can do it with the android app. Just tap the little barcode thing next to the 'search for a food' box and it will bring up a window you use to scan barcodes of food/drinks. So easy and convenient!

    I have 2 mobile devices, Samsung Galaxy Tab and HTC ThunderBolt, both Andorid devices. My mobile app has a barcode button. When you are addiing food, to the right of the search box, is a # button. Press and it activates the camera, hold steady over the barcode of any product, and the app does the rest. Then click add. Totally awesome, and I have been able to scan every item so far! YAY, and so much simpler! :happy:

    I love the barcode scanner! Although I don't eat nearly as many processed foods as I used to, it's still a really handy tool. (Use it via my android app.)
