Sending Recipes to Friends

My husband and I just joined this site. Since I am cooking, and entering my recipes, it would be great if on my recipe menu, I had the option to send to my friends. That way hubby could quickly load what we ate once I entered and saved my recipe. :happy:

My husband and I would appreciate that function also as I usually enter the ingredients for a recipe and then he has to re-enter since I don't want to go through the process including the directions to add the recipe to the database.0

Nope, you can create a recipe, save it, share it...but not send it to your friends. From what I am hearing from everyone, they are way behind in uploading the recipes so that they are searchable. I did add this post to the Website Feedback board. So maybe someday.

Yes, please add a function that allows sending ingredients, foods and recipes to friends!! If I make a salad with 8 ingredients, my husband has to go through just as much work as I did to add the items to his meal for the day.0

You can not share recipes directly with another user, and another user will not find your recipes through a search. Your recipes will be displayed in the search results only when you perform a search.
There is a work around.
User1 creates a Recipe and logs it to a Meal.
User2 opens User1's Diary (shared with public, friends only, or locked with a key)
User2 clicks Quick Tools and copies User1's Meal to his/her Diary.
