i am finding that cutting carbs gives me insomnia.does anyone know why this happens and what I should do? Sometimes I have a cup of warm milk and oats in the middle of the night and this seems to settle me but I'd rather just sleep straight through.do I need to add more carbs to my diet?

Are you new to a low carb diet? People have said the first few weeks are rough.

Cutting down on carbs caused me to get really annoyed with everything. Think it's just a come down....

Cutting carbs did all kinds of crazy things to me. I had headaches, no energy, I was irritable. After about the first 10 days I was good. It was a hard diet for me and I knew it was not something I wanted to do long term. I did change from the whites to more whole grains. Good luck

When you say "cutting carbs," what was your old/typical carb intake and what have you cut to? And what's your current calorie intake? If you're eating ketosis-level carbs (like, 25g or less per day) then you might have some mood disturbances, but if you've just cut back carbs slightly as a function of reducing your overall calories I might investigate other factors, since *most* people (there are always exceptions) function just fine on anywhere from 75 to a couple hundred grams of carbs per day.
