"See-food" kind of day

Gosh I think its an "I could everything in site" kind of day. I'm picking up my water glass every time I'm "hungry" but what other methods can I use to help curb the urge to eat?? I am making healthy choices for foods that I have eaten, but I think I need some extra help.

I always feel that way the day before I start my period, which is pretty normal (and I've read that it's because your body actually needs more calories). On those days, I just let it happen - I still log, and I still try to choose the healthiest food available, but I don't stress about going a little over calories.

On the other 29 days of the month, I try to push through the temptation or eat super low calorie snacks, like salad without dressing or celery sticks.

Exercise is the best appetite suppresant I've found.

Not for everyone though. I'm ravenous after a workout.

Thanks everyone! I made it through my day just fine. I just kept telling myself "You've got this!" and kept busy. Cravings subsided after I had a protein rich lunch.

I too get super hungry after a workout and usually grab a protein drink afterwards to help.

My day was like that too. A handful of almonds around 3 pm saved me. Fifteen minutes later, I felt full. Now it's almost 6pm, we have pizza planned for dinner, and I could wait another hour. Almonds!
