CALORIES? HOW MANY DOING THE 30 DAY SHRED?

Ok, need my expert MFP's advise:

I currently weigh 166-167.

I'm 5'7.

I am doing the 30 Day Shred by Jillian Michaels.

How many calories should I eat every day since I am now going to be doing this workout?

The thingy on here say 1350 cuz I want to lose as much as I can by June 10th vacation baby!

I know 1350 isn't going to be enough, cuz just in the workout I burn at least 200 calories plus run a daycare!

HELP!

Should I stick with what they say.

Boy, I sure am talking a lot today on the message boards, but I wanna get all this right! :)

    Good question, I guess i will have to stay tuned to read some suggestions...I will be starting my 30 ds on Monday and I want to see some real results..!

    I think most people log it under circuit training (unless they have a Heart rate monitor) and use those calories, when you log your excercise it'll add those calories to your daily goal.

    I have a hrm and am burning about 250 cal in the 20 minutes. I am currently 134 lbs and am 5'4"

    Started 30 Day Shred this morning wearing my HRM.

    I'm 5'4 and 148lb and I burned about 160 cals in the 20 minutes.

    Just shows how different people are!!

    If you're wanting to lose quickly, I'd stick with the 1350 but definitely add in your 200 exercise calories (so 1550 on the days you exercise). That's what I did when I went from 142 to 135 and it worked well for me. I don't run a daycare but do have five kids ages 2 to 9! :happy:

    Jillian Michaels from the Biggest Loser show dvd. You start with level 1 and work up to level 3.

    I think it varies too widely to go by others experience. I have a HRM, and when I started the 30 day shred I was only burning about 140-160 for the whole workout. Now that I'm on level 2, I burn about 180-210, depending on how warm my house is due to the weather.

    My friend can do the same workout, same day, and burn a completely different number.

    I didn't up my calories when I started her program, just stuck with what MFP told me to eat :) Seems to be working!
