Hi Fitness Pals!

I'm looking into buying a fitness watch mainly to track how many calories I burn doing yoga and skipping. Also does a watch with a built in interval timer exist? Right now I'm using an interval timer on my iPad (I don't own a phone) when I skip but would want just one device to do it all. Any advice on which watch I should buy?

Thanks guys :)
Happy eating well and exercising
Anya

well your most consistent way to determine calorie expenditure from those is by time and intensity, then just log it that way. So your best bet is a watch.

In neither case will your HR provide a meaningful method of estimating calorie expenditure.

I have a Mio Alpha watch with built in HR monitor. I linked it to endomondo on my phone and track my heartbeat during a run.
I logged a stretching session as yoga with endomondo and thought endomondo was generous with calories burnt using the HR data from the watch.
