Can't believe what a shop assistant said to me...

I hate shopping for clothes, really hate it. It makes me anxious and usually really narky by the end of it! But I needed new work clothes as well as casual, so my husband and I braved the mall tonight. I found a couple work tops which I liked, then kept browsing.

I went into this funky store full of casual clothes, the kind of place I usually avoid but with my earlier success (not having to buy plus size!) I thought "why not?". As we walked in, my husband saw this cool jacket, and wanted me to try it on. I grabbed a plain white top to try under it and headed to the change room.

Put it on, walked out and before my husband could even say anything, the early 20's, perky, super pretty shop assistant looks me up and down and says...





"Do you want to try the next size down?"



You couldn't wipe the smile from my face with a brick.
