Sticking to healthy meals on vacation

I am spending the weekend at friends house and I am anxious about breaking a healthy eating routine. She will be cooking most of the meals. I want to have healthy options but I don't know how they eat since this is my first time visiting to their house. I also don't want to make any requests or be demanding in any way I would like to be invited back.

Keep portion sizes small and avoid really high cal foods or keep those servings tiny.

^This. It's just a weekend. Not the rest of your life. You'll do fine. Enjoy yourself!

I like both those options, enjoy but don't overindulge. Thanks

Hi, I travel quite often and sometimes there are situations where it is just hard to avoid food that is not the same as what I am used to preparing at home. The portion size being small is good advice from htg20. That is what I have done as well. Most of my travels involve eating out so I usually eat half the portion and take the rest for the next meal.

If you friend is cooking most of the meals, how do you feel about offering to cook with her? Or would that be kind of awkward?

I hope it goes well for you. No matter what happens, just commit to getting back on your own routine when the weekend is over :) And never give up.
