Losing pounds, not inches?

So I lost about 15 pounds since I started on a diet. I don't exercise very often, still trying to fit that into my schedule, but I walk fairly a lot, 90 minutes a day on an average. But although I notice changes in my upper body and face, the rest of my body doesn't seem to be changing! And I don't feel as if I've lost 15 pounds by the looks of it. That said, I haven't been taking measurements, but will I won't be burning enough fat without exercise ? As in, am I only losing muscle?

While everyone loses some muscle while losing weight, you can expect to lose mostly fat.

Since you're within 3 pounds of your goal, the only thing to do is lift heavy :D

Ohh, actually I'm not within 18 pounds of my goal, I have to lose about 37 pounds to get to 130.

if you're not measuring how do you know you're not losing inches? the weight may come off your lower body later on. it doesn't always come off or go back on evenly.

True. But I felt for fifteen pounds, I should have lost a lot more. I look I've lost weight but not fifteen pounds.

Unless your deficit is significantly less than your BMR, or you are not consuming enough protein, I highly doubt you are losing any muscle. A majority of your weight (usually 4-10 pounds) is usually your glycogen stores being depleted, which is a completely natural effect that happens when you start to lose weight. These 4-10 pounds of stores don't significantly change the way your body looks. So keep eating at a deficit and continue doing what you are doing and you'll start seeing better results.
