Macros and calories dilemma

Im trying to be as restrictive as I can since I have seen close to no results since the middle of february =/. I eat in the neighborhood of 1600 cals a day. but im not getting near enough protein im suppose to be getting!
im 6'5' around 290. so i need to be getting 290 grams, but it seems like a real task to get to such a high number! even with eating eggs, turkey, chicken, ham,, steak, whey isolate protein drinks, greek yogurt. Even cracking 200 a day is hard.
so I ask this? do i need to bump up my calories to 2,000? in order to find a way to get al my proteins? or is calorie cutting the only way to go. Calorie cutting has been the way for me ever since i began. but ive hit a wall and its taking a toll on my momentum, gym time, stress, and confidence =/

I've seen your posts before. Haven't people suggest that at 6'5" and 290 pounds, you do not need to be eating as little as 1600 calories a day?
Also, you don't need to eat a gram of protein per pound of body weight. .5 or .8 grams should be fine.0 -
i feel like i wont be making any real gains if i eat that much. Its hard not to.but im less motivated when some noticeable movement isnt being made. and if .5-.8 is ok then i guess thats a relief0
