Could you add chores as part of exercise? I know I really sweat when I'm doing yard work and vacuuming.

Did you do daily chores when you were overweight? Then I wouldn't count it, especially if it's routine.

Is it a rare, different, over-the-top clean/home/yard/garden maintenance that you do only once in awhile? I'd count it.

I only add stuff like shoveling snow, raking leaves, push mower lawn mowing that is more than cleaning the house type chores. I don't eat back my exercise calories back so it really doesn't matter to me. I just like to see what I have burned in cals when going to gym or doing activities that are more than usual everyday living stuff.
    Good luck!

I wouldn't count it as exercise, unless it is really unusual activity. Routine yard work and vacuuming are normal weekly activities for me. If I find I need a few more calories to maintain my energy level for the day, then fine I'll be over on my calories for the day.

Ordinary crap like mowing the lawn? No.

Extraordinary crap like cleaning out the garage? Yeah. Cause it will be my workout for the day.
