Hi, I stopped a while ago using champix. Nasty side effects but it's been so easy, I highly recommend it

Consider switching to vaping. Have a number of friends who have quit that way.

I quit after smoking for over 15ish years. Its kind of crazy because it seems like it was someone else. I had to try to quit a few times. The 1st time was the hardest. You really have to break yourself of the routine of it. It is really weird in those moments when you are used to smoking, like in the morning, with coffee, after eating. The second time it was really easy for some reason, I don't know why. It can be a little hard around others who smoke. I hated the e-cigs when they first came out but now I use one when I get super stressed. If you are interested I can give you the name of some herbal supplements that actually make you not want to smoke. I am not one for the whole detox thing but these actually change the way cigs tasted and made you put them out after a few drags. Weird unrelated side effect of them haha. Just wait till about 6 months after you won't believe how good your skin will start to feel. Its amazing.

After 30 years I quit using EVERYTHING. I had the patches, the gum, the lozenges, and the electronic cigarettes. It was tough at first but now it is a breeze. I am free to smoke at any time, and I always choose not to.

I quit on Wed. with Nicorette gum. I am taking it one day at a time. I had been smoking for 34 years, a pack half a day since I don't remember. Like losing weight it is day by day, hour by hour. Good luck! :)

I switched to vaping as well.. havnt had a cigarette in over 3 months now, after being a pack to 2 pack a day smoker for 20 years.

Also...I dont vape nearly as much as I smoked...I can go a couple days without thinking about it even, so Im sure that eventually, the day will come when I do without this as well, which would be awesome.

Over the weekend, at the mall, a woman stood next to me and she *reeked* of cigarettes, I had to move away from her with a quickness because it smelled so awful. First thought was OMG did I SMELL like that?! And my second thought was, Im pretty sure Im cured of ever having a cigarette again. Ever. That was pretty nasty LoL

So yeah, I think that if you can make it past a certain point, at least to where the smell of cigs disgusts you, then you are free and clear of the habit. Actually only really took me about 2 months to reach that point....where being around someone who is smoking grossed me out. But this weekend was the first to feel that way just being around someone who smelled of it.
