How long does it take the effects of high sodium from eating tortilla chips and pinto beans to work its way through our body's? I had no idea that 4 ounces of pinto beans has 450 mg of sodium. Damn.

What effects are you noticing? I eat meals with +450 mg of sodium all the time and I don't notice any effects.0

Then it must have been the tortilla chips from Friday and Saturday night. I am up two pounds in one day after several weeks of shaving off weight each day.0

Yep, for how long for that retained water to flush out? Days?0

Why don't you buy dry beans, soak, cook. Add desired amount of salt or spices. You would never have to worry about sodium again.0

I will change my question to just how long it takes for water weight to flush out?0

A day or two. Drink more water.0

Providing I don't continue to eat high sodium, it usually takes a day or two for me. Eating/drinking something high in potassium can speed it up.0

Thanks. I need to google high potassium foods or snacks now. Do you know of some good one's N2E?0

The only thing with v8 is I'm pretty sure it has lots of sodium. And if you are having nuts, make sure to get unsalted.0

A day or two to flush through (though 450 mg isn't really that much when you consider other types of foods like canned soup - and yes, even the reduced sodium soups). If you take cranberry pills it will happen pretty immediately. That said, you really should ignore the scale every day as a measure of how you're doing. You should look at it in longer term, either weekly or bi-weekly. I personally weigh myself everyday, but I ignore the number for the most part. I focus on the general trend, at least for ladies that's necessary because we have systems/bloat y'all don't.0

BFDeal, lol, you said the funny line for the day.0
