I was taking a look in a book I have on diet and I found this.
I thought this was interesting so I wanted to share it is a comparison of portion sizes now to 1950.

Average fast food hamburger
1950's = 1 oz
Today = 6 oz

Soda
1950 = 8 oz
Today = 32-64 oz

Average theatre serving of popcorn
1950 = 3 cups
Today = 16 cups

Average muffin
1950=less than 1 oz
Today = 5-8 oz

    People are sooooo much into getting their money's worth. If we look at the portions.. kids meals are the size of what adults should be eatting. When I go to restraunts I get kids meals if possible. If they don't "allow" it I get it to go. They can't deny that. :-)

    im originally from san antonio, texas. (which is ranked in teh very top of the fattest cities in the united states) and this might also be because it is the only city i know where you can get a bucket of 50 nuggets from mcdonalds for about 8 bucks

    OMG who in the world can eat that. :ohwell: I struggle with the six piece probably because I know it isn't too good for me but it taste so go. lol

    one ounce burgers. wow, that must be like a white castle or something. I think the portions are out of control. but WE are in control. I love your idea of the kids meal to go..great thinking.:glasses:
