Don't need one with mfp. Just eat to your calorie limit. If you have trouble with that, incorporate lower calorie foods (vegetables, some fruits) to bulk up the amount you can eat. Read the sticky posts at the top of the forums. They will help.

Yep, just eat normal food, track everything here in your diary, and do your best to stick to your daily goal. The diary is a great tool - not every day will be perfect, and especially when you're starting out, you need to pay attention to the days and weeks and see where you do well meeting goals, and where you can do better - make better food choices, learn better portions, etc. etc.

You aren't on a diet. You are learning to eat right. The weight loss will follow.

I tend to read every article about nutrition I stumble across and then formulate what I want to eat based on what seems like sound advice. Start off just eating within your daily calorie allotment. If you have 1400 calories a day, save 600 calories for dinner and eat the other 800 calories throughout the day. You'll start to know when you are really hungry and when you are just used to eating and you can make adjustments. I personally do better if I limit my carbs, so I do, but many people eat lots of carbs and do well. We are each different and you'll figure out what works for you.

It's very, very important to enter everything you eat into your diary. Weigh and measure your portions to ensure that your entries are accurate. You'll be amazed at how that diary helps keep you on track. Good luck!
