Question for Women

I am trying to loose almost 60 pounds in total to reach my ultimate goal. I, however, like my chest where it is at. I want to see the weight drop mostly in my upper arms, stomach, and thighs. I know I will lose a bit of my butt and chest during this process. Has anyone lost a significant amount in their chest size (1-2 bra sizes) after having lost that much weight?

    I lost 55lbs, went from 167lbs to 112lbs (at 5'4) and went from a 34F to a 32DD (UK sizing).

ive lost right about 30 of 100 and where i am losing weight (for now) is my torso/back/chest. i WAS a 44DD/DDD and as of a few weeks ago was a 40H...?

you can not spot reduce or spot... ignore? your body will lose weight where it wants to. I will say that even if you lose weight in your chest, when you are DONE losing weight you will still likely be very proportional, and still look nice.

i love my boobs and still love them as they get smaller, because its in proportion to the rest of me :)

i mean, not many women want to look like dolly parton, yanno? ;) (at least i dont LOLOL)

    You can't spot reduce

You also can't spot NOT reduce

In 50lbs my boobs have gone from 36DD/E to a 34D .. and I kind of missed them to begin with ... but heck my waist and hips have gone down proportionally too.

40 lbs down so far and have lost 2 pants sizes, a shirt (and a halfish size, shirts are harder because they just vary alot) and have not changed my bras at all yet except going in a hook or two.

You will hear ALOT of variation in stories on this, mostly you can really know how your body will act until you do it. Keep in mind that smaller tatas still look big when all of you is smaller :)

25lbs down from highest weight. And bra size went from 34D to 32A. A lot of that is hormonal.

Yes I need new bras too, which is kind of depressing since I spent $50 on mine from Victoria Secret. But it's fun to buy new clothes- including bras!!

Thank you. I don't want them huge, I'm a 36C right now. I don't want to become smaller than 32B. I kinda like them where they are now :/

The thing is when your band size goes down your cup size should go up to be the same boob size IYSWIM

    so a 36C = 34D = 32DD

You can't control them unfortunately. It is impossible to predict if they will go down or not. Focus on being a healthy you and loving who you are, not the way you look. I am assuming there are reasons why you are losing 60 pounds....focus on those, things you can control - not something you can't.

Best of luck on your journey!!!

When I lost previously, I went from a full D to a small C. It happens - if it happens again, I've made my peace with it. :)

I started at ~180 lbs and I've lost ~50 lbs and have progressed from a 38C to 36D to 34DD to 32F--lost band size but not cup size, really. It wasn't until the last 5 lbs that I started losing cup size--I'm now a 32C/D depending on the bra. It's weird because when I was in my 20s (before I had my son) and weighed 125 lbs I wore a 34D--I was always large-chested (and hadn't yet discovered the wonders of a bra fitter)! I'm chalking up the loss of cup size now to being premenopausal...

But yeah--genetics and you can't select where your body loses the weight unless you resort to surgery.

    You can't really control it

But a padded, push-up bra can compensate pretty well.

I haven't found anything to compensate for my chunky thighs though.

So I'll lose the weight and let Victoria's Secret handle the casualties :)

Not a fan of VS, but I am totally a fan of the attitude in that post!

When I lost my first 50lbs, my chest went from 38E to 34D, and a small D at that.
I was heartbroken, but I've finally realised that actually it's not that bad - my stomach is far smaller, and like PeachyPlum said, you can wear pushup bras. I always used to feel that they were cheating, but since nobody except my boyfriend sees me naked, and HE doesn't mind my shrunken boobs, it's not too bad.
Sadly you can't choose where to lose weight, just embrace it.

    Mine go. :)

    Right now at 193, I am a 42D, but when I weighed 115, I was a 34B/C.

I don't mind it at all - I like looking little overall, and cute. I know it does bother some women. We can't really say whether your breasts will diminish, but if they grew significantly after you lose weight, then they will probably decrease when you lose weight. Just celebrate whatever you have. :)
