Feeling Disappointed

So went to see my doctor on Friday after I found a lump pushing through my stomach, to be told I have an hernia, and I'm not to do anymore stomach crunches until a specialist takes a look at it. That's all I need

I got one of those shortly after I started doing core exercises, too. I could do a magic trick for a while there; if I rolled from side to side I could make it pop in and out.
When I went for stomach surgery (laprascopic) this past summer, I asked for a two-fer deal; could the surgeon stitch up my small hernia while he was at it? I'm lucky. Hernia repair is not high on the priority list in our public health care system.0 -
I was going to say, be persistent with all your specialists. What core exercises ARE allowed? That gives you focus on what you can do instead of all the things you can't.0

I can relate; I have a small hernia on my stomach. My doctor has told me to keep an eye on it and to let her know if it gets any worse or begins hurting. She hasn't limited my activities though. I do strength traiing, and I'm afraid that at some point in the future I'll need to have it repaired. I'm hoping to avoid this. Good luck to you.0
