I feel so uncomfortable weight training at the gym being new at it my form isn't perfect yet the weight is light. Obviously thats my own lame insecurities but it for sure is tough being around the pros when I'm just a weak little noob. Does anyone have any good at home weight training videos, you tube, or even just a routine?

Ice Cream fitness 5x5 is good, but you need a squat rack and very soon you will be lifting heavy enough to need a spotter/partner for safety. I have a full Olympic set and rack at my house and I figure I will need a gym membership within 8 months to a year. I am going very slow because of shoulder and knee injuries due to a motorcycle wreck. My first 90 days just doing the weight of the bar and concentrating solely on form. Video yourself and then compare to vids of the exercises on YouTube. A standard search should give you plenty of material. Best wishes, Fred.0

thank you that was extremely helpful... I have heard great things about the ice cream 5x5! I am going to go out and get the equipment I need at least until I out grow it or feel comfortable at the gym. My form is my number one priority as the work outs would be almost pointless if I am not doing them right. The idea about filming my self is such great advice!!0 -
Nobody in the gym cares about you. And when you're squatting 200 pounds, nobody will care about you. Most lifters in most gyms are misinformed to some extent, so tune them out and do what you need to do there.0

Do Stronglifts 5x5 first. It is the basics and ICF 5x5 was based off of it.0 -

Maybe get a personal trainer until you are comfortable with the equipment.0 -
