I am going to do the 24hr hollwood diet fast tomorrow. Has anyone ever tried this particular product, if so what'd you think. My sis wanted to do it, said I'd give it a try with her, what the heck. I've never fasted for 24hrs before- Id like to see if I could actually get thru it, will probably be thinking of food all day tomorrow. I've heard its a good thing to fast once a month. Heard some fact that religions/people who fast once per month have lower rates of heart disease or some junk like that (it was on the radio).

Honestly, it's not going to do anything good for you. You'll probably be hungry, make several trips to the bathroom, and lose some weight (not fat) through losing water and food waste. It's just water mixed with fruit juice from concentrate, and some vitamins. Unfortunately, half of them are fat-soluble, so in the absence of fat, you won't absorb them. Your blood sugar will be through the roof from all the sugar, and then it'll crash when you're done and insulin overcompensates for the high sugars, and then you'll be tired. You won't lose any fat with that much insulin in your system anyway. Also, you're not taking in any protein, so muscle sparing will be difficult for your body.
It's a big, huge waste of money. Might taste good though.0 -
I agree with song, there is no fast cure to fat, you didn't get fat over night and you aren't going to get thinner over night. When it comes right down to it if you expect to loose weight and keep it off you have to learn to eat and exercise....and I know this from years of seeking out a pill or a drink or any kind of substitute only to finally get success from eatting right and getting regular exercise and staying hydrated.0

i did the 48 hour one some time ago, and although afterwards my weight on teh scale was 7 pounds lighter in two days, i was nautious, had a horrible headache, diarrhea, and cramps, and after i stopped the diet and started eating regular food again, i gained it all back0

Thanks for the replys.
I did do it. Felt like crap all day, lost 2 pounds, wouldn't reccommend it. I had already bought it so did not want to waste. Oh well:)0 -
lol if you want to fast and feel like crap all day....you can buy those over the counter laxitives that you have to take before a colonoscopy. wow...I had to do a couple of these and that one bottle just makes you visit the washroom like you've never visted it before. :laugh:0

Looks like I got to you to late but you already figured out what I was going to tell you.
It works only for a little bit, but when you start to eat normally again you are going to gain that and then some. FASTING DOES NOT WORK IN THE LONG RUN PEOPLE! It stops your fat burning metabolism and makes you gain twice as fast. Not to mention what damage it is doing to your heart and brain.
FASTING IS NOT A GOOD IDEA! :noway:
Not to mention that this diet is void of any protien and this can cause you to be grumpy. and sometimes sick as a dog.
