I sometimes weigh my foods, but as a human we can't do it all the time. This site helped me a lot in visualizing portion sizes and I thought it might help others.

As a human i weigh ALL my solid food and measure ALL my liquids. ALL the time!
Its as simple as that. :)

    But handy link

Heh, yeah I admit I am the laziest dieter I know. But it has worked out in my favor. Like really wanting a snack but being too lazy to go out and get one.

But seeing portions on plates helped me a lot.

Yup, I weigh and measure like, 99% of the time. Only time I don't is when I am in a restaurant (in which case portions don't matter since I usually eat at chains and just use the nutritional info online) or eating at a relative's house, at which time I will estimate the weight of the food.

Since I do not use volume for solids, this website helps me in no way.

Relieved to see this visualizing of portions, instead of the usual and annoying decks of cards, computer mouse and six dice. A portion is mostly very straightforward, just one piece, glass, cup, dish, etc, not filled to the brim. Thank you.

But I still have the opinion that everybody has to decide for themselves how much to eat of each food to stay within their own goals, and I love how MFP is completely neutral as choices of foods or amounts are concerned.
