Baby Weight Blues

So we all know that having a baby can put your body through some serious changes...and if you were already out of shape pre-baby then you've got even more work to do. Since I gave birth to my son, I've been a stay at home mom and have led a pretty sedentary lifestyle for the past months. Now I am ready to get back on the horse and get out there. I have the biggest responsibility to be healthy not only for me but for my son. I want to be around for him. I need to be held accountable for the things that I do to my body and what I put into my body--now someone is looking up to me and I need to be the best example that I can be...for him!

Aww you can do it.. I'm kind of in the same boat as you.. I gained so much weight when I was pregnant with my son 3.5 years ago and been a stay at home mom for 2years now, 1hr away from family, in a new city where I don't know anyone isn't good. From been a couch potatoe everyday and not getting any excersice I've gained even more.. in jan. Of this yr I weighed in at 220. I felt so unconftable with myself so I started walking 30 to 60 min aday.. checked my calories and started eating good.. in 2months I lost 15lbs on my own.. I relapsed for about 2 weeks but I'm back at it.. hoping this time around I can keep it going.. if you need someone to talk to I'm here.. our bodies go threw so much but if we put our minds to it we can do it.. good luck0

Thanks so much. You definitely seem like you know what I'm going through. Same with me new cityno family and friends. I got so home sick that I was just like whatever. Now I'm feeling positive. Now that my son is going to be turning 1 soon, I am getting off the couch and becoming more active. Going from the couch to working up a sweat on a regular basis is not easy. I know before when I was on the "healthy track" it made me feel so good. I miss that feeling. Even though while I was working out my son was at my feet lol. Relapsing is a part of the journey and as long as you don't give up on yourself you can always start again. Keep going!0
